航海者系列為設計師一生創作經典作之一，早期大航海時代，除了羅盤，最簡單直接的測方向，就是觀星，或用太陽方位計算所謂的羅經差，進而找到預期中的方向。當然，有時候測的方向也可能會有誤差，但都會經由像娜美一樣的航海士根據當時的天氣狀況或地形及時修正，對航海者來說，方向絕對是啟航前的前奏，這也是為什麼方向是第一話的原因。

方向不是只有東、西、南、北，亦有北北東、西南西等，360度的方向隨你行。

人生亦是如此，每每走到抉擇之時，會猶豫會徬徨，即使再怎麼預先做好計畫和準備，計畫永遠感不上變化，最好的方式，就是當下依照自己的心意調整，心之所向亦當下最好的選擇。

別怕，即使結果不如當初想像，亦是最好的安排。
